Littleton Research Collective is a woman-owned small business located in New England. We have over 20 years of research experience and 10 years of teaching experience at the intersection of social science and the law. We answer tough questions in an ever-changing legal landscape.

Kelly Sutherland, PhD

Psychology Consultant; Co-founder



Dr. Sutherland is an applied cognitive psychologist focused on the intersection of decision making and the legal system. Her research focuses on wrongful convictions and faulty forensic science. She is currently the Research Director for The Center for Integrity in Forensic Science. Dr. Sutherland's work has been published in Law and Human Behavior, The Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied, and Psychology, Public Policy, and Law.

Kelsey Kramer, PhD

Criminology Consultant; Co-founder



Dr. Kramer is a criminologist focused on discretionary decision-making in the criminal legal system. Her research primarily focuses on punishment, particularly judicial sentencing decisions and the consequences for defendants. Her work has been published in outlets such as, Justice Quarterly, Crime & Delinquency, and Criminal Justice and Behavior, among others.
